The rules for submitting your articles to GasPredictor.com's Article Directory are simple, but they must be followed! This is how we ensure that we are among the best sources of top-quality articles of genuine value. We must maintain our quality in order to ensure that the links to all of our authors' Web sites are recognized by the search engines as high-value links, and in order to encourage publishers of the best blogs and ezines to keep coming back to us for top-quality articles. Nobody benefits from violations of these submission guidelines, because articles that do not conform will not be published here. Authors who repeatedly attempt to violate these terms will be banned from submitting any more articles.

If you are new to Article Marketing, please don't be put off by these strict requirements. They are mostly directed at those who try to "game the system," and not to those with sincere intentions but who are perhaps not familiar with how these things work. Here's a brief summary:

• Submit articles you wrote yourself. Not copies of someone else's work, not a collection of articles you bought with the right to claim them as your own. If you hired a "ghost writer" to write the articles for you, that's fine.
• We and other users of this site have the right to publish your articles, provided we keep your name and links on them, but you retain the copyright.
• Put links to your Web site in the "Resource Box" ("About the Author"). Not links to someone else's Web site with your affiliate ID. Don't put links anywhere else in the article.
• You will not be paid for your articles.
• We don't promise to publish your articles, and we have the right to change the category they are assigned to.
• Make sure your article is spelled and punctuated correctly. And make sure it reads like a human wrote it, not a robot.
• Make sure your article has something to do with the category you assign it to. Automotive, energy, and especially saving gas.
• No articles promoting junk science techniques that don't work.

Now, here are the more specific and complete requirements:

• The articles that you submit must be your own work - You may not submit articles written by other authors and the content must be unique. No rebranded articles ("PLR") allowed. You must be the sole copyright holder for each article you submit. Articles written by a ghost writer are perfectly acceptable as long as they are being used only by yourself. Please refer to our Copyright Violations Policy page for more information, especially if you believe an article published on this site is a violation of your copyright.
• By submitting your articles to GasPredictor.com, you grant us the nonexclusive right to publish your articles - We may publish your article anywhere on our website, blog, or syndicate through RSS. We may also change where it appears, including the category, at any time. You retain the right to submit your article to other article directories and other publications.
• By submitting your articles to GasPredictor.com's Article Directory, you grant others the nonexclusive right to publish your articles - Other users of GasPredictor.com's Article Directory have the right to publish your articles on their websites, in their newsletters or ezines, and more as long as the article is left in the original state. This includes the resource box which provides you credit as the author of the content.
• No affiliate links! - The articles that you submit to GasPredictor.com's Article Directory must not contain affiliate links. It is acceptable, however, to mention the URL's of helpful sites or your own website which redirects to the recommended affiliate product.
• Submitting your articles to GasPredictor.com's Article Directory does not entitle you to financial compensation of any kind - You will not receive compensation from GasPredictor.com or the users of our directory for articles you submit.
• Submitting an article in no ways guarantees inclusion in our directory - We reserve the right to reject an article submission for any reason.
• Articles must be spellchecked and proof read for grammatical errors prior to submitting - Do not submit articles filled with spelling errors and bad grammar. Please Note that programs that automatically "rewrite" articles to make them appear unique to the search engines always produce very badly written content which we will recognize and reject. We do monitor article submissions and we will reject content that doesn't meet this requirement.
• Articles must be relevant to the subjects of transportation and energy - We only publish articles that visitors to GasPredictor.com will be interested in. If you have good quality articles on other subjects, please submit them to a relevant article directory. Repeated attempts to submit off-topic articles and miscategorize them to appear to be relevant may result in the author being banned from future submissions.
• We do not accept articles promoting dubious gas saving techniques and devices, including schemes to "run your car on water" - We only publish articles that people can actually use to save gas or to choose the right form of transportation for their needs. If the article promotes a device or technique which, in our judgment, does not work, we will not publish it. If you are promoting such a product, you are welcome to apply to our "Brown Gas" Challenge, but we will not publish your articles until and unless you satisfy us that your product works, as described on the "Brown Gas" Challenge pages. The same applies to any energy-saving technique which we consider to be unworkable.
